Biography

Leila grew up by the sea, in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, gained a BSc in  Business Studies, then spent 12 busy years working in corporate finance in the electricity supply industry.

In 1998 she chose to step out of corporate life to retrain as an Aromatherapist, and has run a private practice in Cheltenham since 1999. This allowed time to return to her love of painting, and the opportunity to go to art college.

A new interest developed from a silver jewellery evening class at Malvern Hills College, and after a couple of years Leila discovered precious metal clay, which led her into more serious jewellery making, through a diploma in Precious Metal Clay (PMC) proficiency at the Mid Cornwall School of Jewellery.

This led indirectly to an unexpected journey of personal development and expanding horizons, which has resulted in Leila training to become a Life Coach, which draws on skills from all the above.
